| Description of actual services provided:
The demand for water is increasing due to ever-increasing population, urbanization and industrialization. But the water potential is constant. The water potential available in Tamil Nadu both groundwater and surface water is about 47,680 MCM, whereas the demand of water for various sectors as per Tamil Nadu state action plan for climate change is 49,773, 52,891, and 55,919 MCM for the years 2011, 2020, and 2048 respectively. To meet the demand-supply gap, the Government of Tamil Nadu – through Tamilnadu Water Investment Company (TWIC) – has prepared a feasibility report for the formation of treated wastewater reuse grid from the Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) to the industries all over Tamil Nadu. As part of study TWIC has done demand assessment across the state for reuse water and has suggested to form 52 grids. Based on the wastewater generation and water demand estimated, the total grids were again sub grouped into Short term (10 Nos), Mid-term (11 Nos) & Long term ( 31 nos). Based on the study, The State Government of Tamil Nadu has also released a “Treated Wastewater Reuse Policy”. |

| Description of actual services provided:
Provided expertise services required for Construction Management and Supervision of all the works related to the Plant in the contract for the implementation of the Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant & its allied works of the plant at Koyambedu, Chennai. It will include the supervision of the construction works from the receipt of secondary treated sewage of the existing sewage treatment plant at inlet and upto reject disposal system including pre-construction, construction, testing and commissioning etc., and carrying out 3rd party inspection of equipments and materials required for the construction of Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant & its allied works of the plant.
Progress monitoring, site supervision of the construction activities, undertake regular site meetings, health and safety, quality assurance, design and construction control issues, construction materials sampling, commissioning and testing procedures, Witnessing of Tests for the electro-mechanical equipment’s and Ensure implementation of Environment & Social Management. |
