Tirupur water Supply and Sewerage Project, Tirupur
New Tirupur Area Development Corporation Limited (NTADCL) has been established as a special purpose vehicle for development and implementation of the Tirupur Water Supply and Sewerage Project. NTADCL is promoted by TWIC along with Tirupur Exporters Association, to implement the first water sector related project under the public-private partnership framework in the country. It is the first water supply project in India to be financed commercially on a limited recourse basis. A Concession Agreement has been Signed in 2000 between Govt of Tamilnadu, NTADCL and Tirupur Municipality(TM )
Under the project, facilities have been constructed to extract, treat and supply 185 million litres of water per day (MLD) from the river Cauvery. . Water is being supplied to the dyeing and bleaching industries and domestic consumers in and around Tirupur. Domestic consumers of Tirupur Municipality,(TM) fifteen villages panchayats and three town panchayats with a total population of 8,00,000 are also supplied with water. These provide umbrella coverage for the entire water supply requirements of Tirupur Planning area spread over 225 sqKm In addition, water supply is being provided to enroute habitations in five wayside unions. The water supply project has been completed to time, cost and standards. NTADCL has already commenced supply of water to all consumers, both industrial and domestic continuously since 2005
The project also includes construction of a sewerage system for Tirupur Municipality and onsite sanitation facilities for slums within TM. The sewerage system has been completed

Waghala Municipal Corporation is an important religious center in Maharashtra State This project work includes Study of existing infrastructure facilities, prepare project proposals, prepare DPR, get approval of CPHEEO for the DPR, preparation of tender document, assist corporation in bidding process to identify contractors, and construction supervision pertaining to water supply and sewerage components. .TWIC took up this challenging project to complete the assignment in 20 months to facilitate the Municipal Corporation for meeting the infrastructure requirements of a multi million tourist population expected for a Sikh festival which occurs once in 12 years

Dedicated Water Supply in Coimbatore
Client: Coimbatore city Municipal Corporation, Coimbatore
Corporation of Coimbatore has decided to set dedicated water supply scheme with pillar reservoir as a source. Most reliable source of water supply – i.e. Pillur Reservoir water is considered for this project; so as to ensure long term sustainability of the scheme for the design period. The water supply at the rate of 135 litres / capita / day has been considered for this project.
TWIC has been appointed for preparation of Bid documents and Evaluation of Technical bids for the work of Dedicated Water Supply Scheme, Pillur Phase II, taken up under JNNURM Scheme by the Coimbatore city Municipal Corporation, Coimbatore.

Detail of the Project:
DPR for HWSFMP includes Dharmapuri & Krishnagiri Districts covering 3 Municipalities, 17 Town Panchayats, and Rural Habitations in 18 Panchayat Unions in both the Towns.
Preparation of DPR for water supply Improvement in distribution system for 26 Municipalities.
The Scope of the assignment is to prepare DPR for each Municipalities for the improvements of water supply distribution system viz, study the existing system including distribution network, availability of storage capacity, inequity in distribution, inadequacy of storage capacity, staging height of service reservoirs, non optimal of service reservoir locations, defects in the pipes and suggest measures to ensure daily and equitable water supply to the consumers. The scope also includes preparation of bid documents for the suggested improvement works and the Investment plan.
The total value of the Assignment for benefiting 26 Municipalities.
Alternative Water Supply to SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur & Irungattukottai
SIPCOT is a Government of Tamilnadu enterprise, responsible for development of industrial infrastructure in Tamilnadu. Sriperumbudur and Irungattukottai are two of the main industrial hubs, located approx. 30km west of Chennai. There is no organized water supply to industries located in this region. SIPCOT depends on water from the Chembarambakkam lake, which in turn is monsoon fed/inflows from Andhra Pradesh. In order to ensure reliable and quality supply to industries an alternate program was required to be implemented.
The project proposed to use treated sewage water available at Koyembedu Sewage Treatment Plant as the source. The scope of work includes tertiary treatment, RO plant of capacity of 10 MLD at Koyembedu STP with a provision for modular expansion to 20 MLD. Pipeline of 20 MLD for transmission from the plant to the existing SIPCOT reservoir at Chembarambakkam for onward distribution to the industries was also envisaged.
TWIC was engaged by SIPCOT to undertake the following:

- Submission of preliminary technical and feasibility report
